AC Or Bust

Good-bye NYC. Hello AC.

We are headed down down down the shores of Jersey to Atlantic City for the weekend.

Our "relaxed" weekend away will be anything but that.... We have stuff to do! We have a plan, there is always a plan. We would like to head out of here by 5pm this evening. Driving, with our first stop just 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City in Egg Harbor Township. Jeanne/Matt's house. Cooper is having a "sleepover" with his four cousins tonight. The kids can't wait, and Cooper will love every bit of the attention he will get from them.

Caesars Hotel is our destination.

We bid on and won this weekend in AC this past year.

And we got this package for quite a bargain!

So this is what is included:

Sounds good, huh? Cooper will be at Jeanne's tonight, and hanging out there all day tomorrow. Maria's parents and grandmother will be flying into the Atlantic City Airport on their return from Florida on Saturday evening, so will pick Cooper up and take him to 2581 for the night. We will drive up on Sunday to reconnect with the boy, and with plenty of time to get dressed for Halloween and head to meet up with the twins for some serious 'trick or treating' time.

Wish us luck in our gambling endeavors!

Awesome

Jon Stewart. Love him.

City Treehouse

Maria found a cool playspace called City Treehouse that she knew Cooper would love. Down on 20th Street in Chelsea, this space has a humongous water table where kids can explore and splash and learn and fool around.

Clara got Cooper prepared and ready on Tuesday for the subway ride down there, and of course had an entire change of clothes on hand for the kid in anticipation of his aqua-exuberance.

Doesn't this look like a blast?

Clara took this one picture with her blackberry before deciding that securing it in the diaper bag where it would be safe from all the splashing was probably a good idea!

Top Chef

Cooper's first cooking experience!

What better way to introduce him to the wonderful world of epicureanism than with chocolate brownies?

The process wasn't as seamless as we would have liked, but give the kid a break..... He isn't even two years old yet.

Assembling the necessary ingredients.
Ready or not, here I come.
Eggs. Oil. He did well. No casualties.
He liked the whole stirring thing!
Tasting the fruits of his labor.
Mmmmm......

So Soon

This boy needs a haircut. Again.

Timber!!!

These boxes are great. The sides have numbers, shapes, and animals.
Cooper will stack them up....
And knock them down time and time again.
Cooper really loves them!
Stack them up yet again.
And the walls come tumbling down.
Wait for it..... Wait for it......

And then get the last few.

Signs Of A Winner

The students held all sorts of signs up as the backdrop for the spirit-filled taping of the ESPN GameDay broadcast. Some funny ones that we saw read, 'MIZ-F.O.U.' and 'Gabbert is in my Communications class'. Here are some pictures of a few we found online:

Sooner? LATER!

Picture this:
A beautiful Sunday in October. Unseasonably warm and sunny in Columbia, Missouri. Homecoming weekend. Energetic and spirited students gather on the Quad for to show support for the Tigers football team. ESPN College GameDay was broadcasting live from the campus. Students were psyched and ready. Because their undefeated Tigers were pumped and ready.

The stage was set when MIZZOU returned the opening kick-off all the way down the field for a touchdown. 14 secs into the game. Wow!
There was a fan or two on hand.
The Tigers played a great great game.
Final score: Missouri - 36 Oklahoma - 27
And the fans rush the field!

MIZZOU

* Tomorrow *

Missouri
Tigers

ESPN Game Day is going to be broadcasting from Columbia, on the campus of MIZZOU. The magic starts at 10am.

Guess where Lori will be? And she will be regaled in her Tigers hat and tshirt, while the mascot that plays the fight song will be sitting on the coffee table.

She is ready. It's on.

The undefeated Missouri team will be going up against the Oklahoma University team Saturday night at 8pm. According to the BCS, MIZZOU is ranked at #11 and OU is #1. Lori has been drilling and drilling the MIZ-ZOU chant into Cooper's head these last few days, and the child has almost got it. By tomorrow? He will be golden.

There is a woman who works for Lori that came in wearing an OU tshirt. Turns out this poor thing attended Oklahoma University. Lori, in her most sweet and boss'ly way, warned this employee that the 40th Floor at MTV must remain a MIZZOU-loving sanctuary. The result of this conversation?

This what Lori's office door looked like this morning when she arrived!

"Apparently she has too much time on her hands, and this obviously needs to be addressed and reflected in her annual employee review.", says Big Boss Lori.

COME ON MISSOURI! LET'S GO TIGERS!!!!!!
