Council, Rally, Garden Party

Each year, the week of Pride is always a busy time for us both - it seems we have a million events on our calendar, and then Maria is booked to interpret a million more. This year has proven to be no different.

Maria interpreted NYC Council's kick-off, Cooper was "talking" up a storm from the audience, and Lori got to change a diaper in the council chamber. (never a dull moment)

BD Wong took time away from Law & Order SVU to be the MC for the evening.

An opportunity to play Where's Waldo yet again.

Heritage of Pride sponsored the rally in Bryant Park, IN THE RAIN, and Susie managed to grab a few action shots of the interpreters doing their thing.

Looks like the sign for "to cherish", but what were we cherishing?

Lewis is "making up" things as he goes along.

Those rightwingers "don't have a clue" as to what the world is like!

Last night we went to the Garden Party - had a blast!  They changed things up this year, and made the evening more of a tasting event with many more restaurants participating than previous years.  There were no entertainers, but a few politicians did come by for some stage time.  The rain did hold off, but the wind was a killer!
Some of our favorite dishes last night were prepared by:
--  Macondo
--  Poco

Pulled this rally picture of Lewis and Lisa off of Flickr.

Tonight?
BBQ at Gracie Mansion with Bloomberg.

Tomorrow?
