Pier Dance '09

We went to RAPTURE ON THE RIVER on Saturday night. So much fun! Great weather, great music, and great group of people. Vodka drinks were crap, but that didn't stop us from drinking them.

Cooper In The Ottoman

Michael and Christina were nice enough to watch Cooper while we went to the pier dance this past Saturday night. As you can see, they had a great time fooling around with Cooper. 
Really can't blame them for anything they do to the kid.... 

There are more than a few pictures of Michael when he was a boy in a sundress, Easter bonnet, and carrying a Bermuda bag from when Maria was babysitting!

A Little Pride For The Road

Very Proud

New York City was very PRIDE'ful yesterday!  Over a million people lined the streets of 5th Avenue to watch the Pride March that marked the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riot.  Tens of thousands walked in the march, and groups (300+) that ranged from politicians to corporations to religious groups to schools to actors to restaurants to social organizations to sports teams to etc etc etc!
After all the years of Maria walking/volunteering with the Cheer NY, she finally marched with the gang and HRC.

During the march, people truly hang out of every window and there is a party on every fire escape.  These pics don't show enough!

Yay Yetta!

Daniel is so good with Cooper, and had him hysterically laughing while we were lined up and waiting to head out pre-parade.

Tracy Tumblad

Promoting the new show, Dance Your Ass Off, Oxygen sponsored Tony award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur in a car at the Pride March yesterday.  HRC was following closely behind - with only Mastercard Worldwide and a sorority (who were great!) in between us.  

Had to go say hello, right?She was so great with Cooper - even when he grabbed her hair and wouldn't let go!  Luckily, Marissa has an 11 month old son and is used to such behavior.  She absolutely had Cooper smiling and cracking up.  

Speaking of hair.....

Parental Leave & Mess

Lori gets four weeks 'parental leave' at Viacom/MTV, and is taking 2 out of the 4 right now. Although at some points during the day you wouldn't know she is off since her Blackberry is getting quite a workout.... She is loving every minute of being with Cooper full time.
Trying to have Cooper spend a little bit more time on his stomach. He really isn't a fan of the idea, but likes looking at the colors and animals on the activity mat.
He still hasn't rolled over on his own!  Looks like he will be sitting up unassisted before any sort of roll'age occurs.
Since Cooper was destined for the bathtub within minutes, we weren't too concerned how messy he was with his lunch.  

Douglas Wann

Yay! Maria and Emilia had the chance to spend the day today. We had such a blast catching up and walk around Manhattan and see our boys together.  Conversation is way different than that of our single days!
Douglas is about 4 months older than Cooper, but they do seem to be interested in each other and interact pretty well together.

Douglas has Cooper beat in the sitting/standing/eating categories.

But the first round definitely went to Cooper!

While shopping in SoHo, Mel and Suzanne picked up this adorable shark t-shirt for Cooper while they were in town. It is just so cute! 
He wears it well, huh?

I Heart Toes

Cooper found his toes about a month ago, and is becoming quite adept with getting them in his mouth! And he shows off this newfound dexterity at every given opportunity.  His teething is happening like crazy, but he still only has the two on the bottom.  We keep trying to snap a pic, but he is too fast for us.
