Mel In Town

Suzanne has been in town on a job for a couple of weeks before Mel came East to join her. As always, Mel has a million people that can't wait to see her - it seems like the poor thing has every single second booked from the moment she arrives and until her plane takes off to go back home to LA-LA-Land.

Cooper was right there in line to book a little quality time with Mel! The last "dealing" he had with his godmother was when he opened a package sent to him, and Cooper did love all the contents...... But he definitely enjoyed those packing peanuts most of all!


Mel came over to the apartment for dinner one night, and shared secrets and laughs with Cooper. So fun to watch the two crack each other up with their jokes and games.

Cooper was enthralled and entertained and ecstatic by it all.

He has such a great giggle, and we think he managed to get Mel laughing so much that she was crying!

A whole group headed up to the lake - Van/Sarah, Kim/Michele, and Mel/Suzanne to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend. There were pictures taken by Suzanne, but we haven't seen them yet! Come on LA'ers - send those pics! Anyway, we had a great time eating, drinking, laughing, and spending time on the water. A perfect weekend..... Until all hell broke loose!

And by "hell' we mean the fact that the washing machine decided to die. And by "die" we mean that the valves conked out, and water leaked all over and seeped under the rug and throughout the bedroom. Worry not! The women were on it, and the quartet of Lori, Mel, Suzanne, and Van moved all the furniture out and ripped the damn rug out of the room. All good? Well, just temporarily! We found that the water traveled further than we originally thought, and we then had to rip out the second bedroom as well.

And this is only a few weeks after the paperwork has been signed and Maria is officially buying Mel out of the lake house! Maria called attention to her "lemon" of a buy right off the bat!

Just kidding Mel!
