What does the acronym 'EPCOT' mean?
Answer of the Day:
Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow
Yup, Wednesday was EPCOT day! Had big plans to hit all the major rides and the countries before heading out on the early-side and getting in some pool time before bedtime.
Actually, our first stop of the day was not EPCOT. We first went to The Lodge, the resort at Animal Kingdom, for their buffet breakfast. The place is gorgeous. OMG - we are totally staying at this hotel when we come back for a Disney vacation when Cooper is older.
Thanks to breakfast reservations at an ungodly hour, we got to EPCOT and in a very close parking space right as the park was opening. The first thing on the 'To Do' list was to run over to the Test Track for a FastPass. First actual ride was Mission: SPACE. Maria has been on it before, and is not a fan! So she and Cooper waited at the exit where there were all sorts of interactive games and an area for younger kids to blow off some steam. Cooper didn't want to leave.
After a few more rides in Futureworld, we walked over to the World Showcase to check out some of the countries, learn a few things, soak in some culture, and (of course) sample the beer that each land had to offer! This was a common goal with Maria and Matt. Lori got a text message reading, 'Mexico. Cerveza. CHECK!' at like 11 in the morning.
We all rode the boat rides offered in Mexico and in Norway, and then the boys bought a few cool items in China. While they were shopping, Maria walked over to a kiosk to grab a snack for Cooper. This one was selling egg rolls, chicken curry puffs, and pork bun along with drinks (beer!) and ice creams. Perfect. Cooper tried the curry puff and liked it, but he wanted to hold the egg roll. Not a problem, so Maria handed it over to him.....
