Debbie. Dallas. You know the joke. The first 24 hours of these conferences always seem to be touch-and-go for me and Lou. The whole possible arrest and malfunctioning safe debacle in '07 is now joined by us almost getting housed by a couple of hookers at 3:30 in the morning. How many times did we tell the story??? Lou seriously thought she could handle the situation. But there were two of them. I had to come to terms with the fact that I was done as well. What are friends for?
Bill Moody was the keynote (nyc. represent.) speaker at the opening ceremonies, and his teacher, mentor, and friend joined him on stage - Lilian Beard. What an amazing woman. She was adopted by a deaf couple when she was just an infant, and is now 100 years old. This clip does not do her justice. So funny, and so many stories!
I don't even know how we managed to find this club, but Toni met with an unfortunate disaster on the way home. Heels. Never a good idea. The best part is the fact that Lou got the reenactment on video. It will NOT be Facebook'ed!
Philly also had some great little places we managed to visit: Lolita's (BYOT - bring your own tequila), Bindi's, and Reading Terminal Market were amazing places to grab a bite. And the week was not all just fun and games. Voted on all the motions at the business meetings, networked with quite a few companies in the exposition hall, and attended several interesting workshops that took a chunk out of this cycle's CEU requirements to keep up my national certifications. Oh, and I also was appointed the Region One rep for the LGBT member section of RID. All in a day's work.

Loved seeing y'all!!!
And the hooker story was just absolutely hilarious. Thinking of Lou re-telling it ... I can't wait for her to tell it again in Hotlanta and see how exaggerated it's become in two years! :)
