Pitching In

Lots to do up at the lake house! The 'clean up' weekend was scheduled on April 23rd, 24th, and 25th. We all arrived at various times Friday night, and the first task was to admire the new paint job! Kitchen went from a sunny yellow to a hunter'ish green, and the white living room walls are now a very light tan. Looks great! We had to move all the furniture back in place after being temporarily relocated to the center of the room so the work could be done. The second set of sliding glass doors gave its life for a casement window - thanks Nor and Tony! So happy how things have turned out. Oh, and Maria received some great gifts from some very generous friends. Gracias!

Saturday. Everyone pitched in and tackled their preferred job. Work was fast and furious..... Partly due to the crowd's enthusiasm, and partly because they all had a 1pm tee time which turned out to be quite the motivator as well.

Glenn made an AMAZING dinner in Maria's honor. Delicious!
Sarah worked her butt off in the main house. She deserves this nap.
Michael. The Great Outdoors. Building the wood rack in record time.
Kim was the foreman and Van was the the sous builder. Go team!
Lori and Michele took their aggressions out on this pitiful shelf. They also served as chief AV technicians. And fan duster-off'ers.
No pictures of the work Georgie did at the red house, but she banged out the cleanliness like a pro. Really, she went above and beyond the call of duty. I think the 1980s boom box cranking and her homeopathic aides enabled her to muster up the courage to deal with a particular woodland creature.
