Eileen and Traci had a few seats at their table for this luncheon on Tuesday, and invited Maria to attend with them. Jenna Wolf (from the TODAY Show) emceed this event with Venus Williams as the honoree.
This is not just about sports. Not at all! The mentoring and networking and knowledge passed to these girls is simply invaluable. Every moment is a teaching moment. This is what mentors are supposed to do for their proteges. These kids are very lucky to have the opportunity to be involved, and they do appreciate their good fortune. So many have succeeded!
