Readjustment

Had do a little maneuvering with the monitor last night.  When Cooper was laid down for a nap, the video monitor screen started going crazy - he had managed to get to the wire and was going to town trying to shake it off its perch.  Uh, I don't think so Kiddo!

Where the cam sat for lo all these months.

And now?  Mounted over the closet doors.
Our new view of the little guy. (quite voyeuristic, huh?)
As long as we were making these changes in the name of safety, we took the opportunity to move the mattress down to the lowest point possible since Cooper is going to realize he can pull himself up in the standing position very soon. The mobile also made its graceful exit. We can envision Cooper using it as some sort of makeshift catapult some day. Not on our watch.
That activity mat in the background is the next this to go. He has advanced "beyond" it. Beyond?  God, we remember how completely thrilled he was when he realized he could wildly wave his arms and would sometimes make a connection to the things hanging down. Toys are needing to be a little more interactive'able to keep his attention.

Baby Beach Band is one of his favorite toys right now.  No sorts of electronic or talking crap. We so hate that stuff.

Cooper would much rather slam down the doors of Busy Poppin' Pals than figure out how to make them pop up.

We found two more companies we want to keep in our minds when buying toys for Cooper in the future: Melissa & Doug and Plan Toys both offer toys that are educational, lots of wood options, and no cheesy bells and buzzers.
But let's be honest.....
He would be quite content and happy exploring a cardboard box or banging the lid of a pan or swiping the remote control.
