We had tickets to the US Open last night, and had a blast. A beautiful night. Some great tennis. Cooper was hanging out with Christina. Perfect. Oh, and so happy we ran into Beth and her posse. Twice!
We thoroughly enjoyed the bottle of Cakebread that accompanied our dinner in one of the US Open restaurants. The wine got us in an understanding state of mind, luckily, because our meals took forever to make their appearance after yet another waitress error. Free dessert? Didn't make up for things, but didn't hurt either.
This was the view from our original seats.
And this was the view from Suite 110. Continental Airlines.
We liked these seats much better.
Lori snagged a sweatshirt, Maria bought a red tshirt, and Cooper scored a way cool long-sleeved white tshirt. We decided to leave it with only purchasing those few items since it is quite easy to become completely enthralled with all that is for sale and drop a hell of a lot more moola. We already have US Open hats in every color, thank you.

Armstrong hosted an exciting match between Ana Ivanovic (French Open 2008 winner) and Kateryna Bondarenko. Fans were fixated on the giant screens to see Bondarenko eliminate the former #1 in the first round. Great tennis.

Other first round results of the evening.
