Maria was at Lexington School on Friday for the Sports Awards Dinner. She has such a soft spot in her heart for the school and for the kids, and all week she was looking forward to seeing everyone.
This years's team had 17 members. 17. Huge!
Gave out 6 awards: Most Dedicated, Team Player, 'True Blue', and several MVPs.
Demara, Vicky, Shanika, Isatou, Kenta, and Quanisha received recognition.
Losing a big group of very talented Seniors this year, and Maria is going to the graduation ceremony this week to say good-bye one last time.
Lexington has an AMAZING coaching staff.
Cooper was a HUGE hit with all the kids. Considering her team knew about every step of the insemination process, wouldn't let her get near pyramids/stunts of any kind (which annoyed her) while pregnant, and then were on the email letting all know that Cooper surprised us so early. He is so big compared to the last time they saw him!
Maria has coached this team for 13 years now..... She has been saying "this is my last year" for the last 7 or so. Will she ever stop coaching? Seriously doubt it!
