Worker Bee

Cooper likes to "work" when he is down on the 3rd Floor. Understand - there is a huge open area, great big wooden playset, and kids to run around with. Cooper? He likes to work.

Kiddo, we are hoping you venture into a different realm of profession after all the money we will have spent on private school tuition in Manhattan for years and years!

The Best Aunts

I LOVE MY AUNT MARIA
AND AUNT LORI!!!!

Hair Hair Hair

Cooper needed a haircut. Badly. And desperately. Interestingly enough, his locks seem to increase in thickness at a faster rate than grow longer. The result? Quite a mop to contend with! Haircut!

See what we mean?
Went to Cozy Cuts on the Upper Westside. We've been here before, and they people working here do a way better job than at the Kidville salon we tried a few times. Videos, balloons, lollipops, video games, and toys - what else does a kid need to create a positive experience out of a chore? Well, Cooper needed the plastic rattlesnake seen hanging out on the car.

Have to admit.....
Lollipops were definitely part of time in the chair.

Yes, Maria is one of 'those moms' who lets their child partake in a lollipop (actually, three of them) when he gets a haircut. Go ahead. Judge.

This woman was SO GREAT with Cooper. We are absolutely going to ask for Sandy when we come back for his next cut. She worked on his hair for a long time and wanted everything to be perfect. Love that. And she and Cooper discussed 'Toy Store' for quite a while.
And YES -
Cooper got to bring home the rattlesnake!

Model Behavior

It seems it took Lori going down to Washington DC to embark on her new-found modeling career. Move on over Heidi Klum.

And we think this couple will be very happy together.

Imprisonment

No really, he wanted to be in there!

Our Big Boy

How did he get so big? And so quickly?

Receiving Line

Cooper set up this audience for his meal tonight. It is his latest obsession - 'bron-ta-ta-saurus', 'stega-sa-sa-saurus', and 'tri-tops'. Hey, he is only two years old. We are impressed he is that close! He often requests to watch Ice Age - Dawn of the Dinosaurs we have DVR'd.

Guitar Lover

Cooper is THRILLED each and every time Lori takes out the guitars with him. He happily will sit and listen to Lori play before he starts jones'ing for his own chance to wang chung a bit. We have a few video clips. Short ones. Will upload and post them tomorrow!

Dude

Cooper's new hat.

Double Trouble

Gringa

Playing Around

Made a 'big boy" toy purchase. Play-Doh. Yup. We think that Cooper will be able to keep the smushy stuff somewhat contained to the specified play area of his highchair tray.... Are we fooling ourselves?
This firehouse sees its share of dinosaurs and trains.
The work of Maria. (yeah, she is kinda insane)

Cooper's favs as of late? Beauty and the Beast, Thomas, Ice Age, and pushing as many treasures as possible into the side of the registers in the apartment..... The only way to rescue them is by taking the front panel off. What a pain. He is still a fan of fish and backhoes and a million other things. He is not a discriminator.

Got a new stroller! Actually, an additional stroller. Need something to service both Cooper and Carter at the same time, and the options are quite limited. Found a good one though! And our budding preschooler-to-be will have the option of sitting strapped in the "jumpseat" or standing on the platform. We think Cooper believes he is on a parade float when he is on it. That's our boy.

Cheerleading

It is that time of year again.

Lexington.

Cheerleading.

Maria is still very into this team and her coaching.

14 years. And it doesn't seem like she is going to stop any time soon!

As always, our apartment doubles for a laundry this week of the tournament. Maria washing them all, organizes, and brings the uniforms back in a garment bad. Dedication, huh?

It is all in the coaching, right Chris?
In preparation for our competition.
Competition night! They did an amazing job!!!!
And they deserve to be proud!
The results? Well, have to say that Lex did GREAT! Had a girl that was chosen for all-star, and she also placed 2nd in the Individual Cheer portion of the competition. Boys basketball had two all-stars, and a kid won the '3 Point Shot' in the skills competition.

Lexington boy's basketball placed 3rd.
Dance. We won for the best routine.
It is 2nd Place for us! The difference in points between 1st and 2nd? SIX!!!! 459 - 453. That is it! I think there was a 60+ difference for the 3rd place finishers. And it was deeply 100+ when you get in to 4th and beyond. So very satisfied with 2nd - it was the first year for half the team! Great great great. So very great.
Amazing job! Again, they should be very proud of themselves!
Yeah, Maria isn't giving this up for a long long while!

HRC Dinner

HRC. The annual HRC Dinner Gala was held in the beginning of February. All donned their best and headed to the Waldorf-Astoria for an amazing evening. As always, many many politicians were in attendance. Lots of corporations bought tables - MTV did as well.

Julianne Moore received an award.
And she was introduced to the stage by Mark Ruffalo.

We obviously had a good time!

We Suck

I know, we suck.

So very very busy this month!

Haven't had two minutes to sit down in front of the computer.

Bad bloggers.
